Community Action Agency of Delaware County’s Allied Health Youth Program (AHYP) provides a career pathway opportunity for out-of-school youth, ages 17-24. Youth are provided training and hands on experience through
on-site classes and clinical partnerships in a medical setting. Youth can obtain two national certifications through this program: Clinical Medical Assistant and Customer Services. Chester Education Foundation’s “Blueprint for Success” is an innovative and successful workforce development program that seeks to transform the lives of out-of-school youth ages 18-24 who live in the city of Chester and/or Delaware County. This program provides out-of-school youth with astructured and supportive environment to pursue their educational and career goals. The overall goal ofthis program is to provide program participants with intensive, culturally relevant services that assistthem in discovering and pursuing career pathways, education, and training in in-demand fields that willsignificantly improve their socio-economic trajectory.
Eckerd Youth Alternatives Multicultural Family Services Preparing Older Youth for Success (POYS) provides GED Instruction, Workforce Readiness and employment support services for older youth between the ages of 18-24 who are looking for opportunities to obtain their GED and transition to area institutions of higher learning orobtain employment.
